Japan, the kingdom of vacant houses. It has been said that by the year 2033, one in three houses will have become vacant, a figure that ref lects calculations predicting that in the near future, the average household will consist of less than two persons.
In these modern times, as the warmth and sense of security that emanate from people begin to disappear from our homes, we wondered if there was a way to install life into the houses themselves.
To make it so that the house itself could become much like a cohabitating family member.
空き家大国、日本。2033年には、3軒に1軒が空き家になると言われ近い将来、平均世帯人数が2人を切る計算になる。人がもたらす温もりや安心感が家から失われゆく今家そのものに生命をインストールすることはできないか。まるで家が、一緒に暮らす家族であるかのように。
